Robert Soli Munakash was born and raised in Los Angeles. He didn't discover entrepreneurship in a lecture hall or a venture capital pitch — he found it behind the counter of a gas station, watching his father serve the community one customer at a time. That early apprenticeship would become the bedrock of a career spanning three decades and counting.
A 1990 graduate of the University of Southern California's international relations program, Robert entered the business world with a rare combination: academic rigor and street-level instinct. In 1995, he made his defining move — acquiring his first gas station and stepping fully into the entrepreneurial arena.
What has sustained Robert's enterprises through recessions, pandemics, and shifting markets is a principle as straightforward as it is rare: treat every customer like a neighbor. Not a transaction.
